Roadmap Planning

A clear plan for your Dynamics 365, before implementation

In two to four weeks, we review your systems, processes, and data, and deliver a platform recommendation, scope, timeline, and risks — in a document you own.

Clarity before you commit

Know which platform fits, what it would cost, and how long it would take — before you sign anything

Real numbers, not ranges

A costed scope and phased timeline you can take to a board or an owner

Done in 1–4 weeks

Light on your team — a few hours from finance and operations; most of the load sits with us

ERP, CRM, or both

Scope can cover Sales, Customer Service and Power Platform when your situation needs it

What you get

A written plan specific enough to budget against and implement from. Not a proposal for our services — the two are different documents, and conflating them is how most "free assessments" work.

The plan sets out a platform recommendation, with the reasoning and the alternatives considered, a costed scope in real numbers rather than a range, and a phased timeline that shows what would make it slip — along with the internal time your team would need, quantified in hours per phase.

It also documents what you run today: a customization and integration inventory, a data assessment of what migrates, what needs cleaning, and what to archive, the risks we found, ranked, with what we would do about each, and a recommendation on sequencing, including whether to wait.

A STRONG FIT

Who this is for

You know the current system is a problem but not what to replace it with

Quotes from partners have come back wildly apart and you cannot tell why

Support spend that is unpredictable because everything is billed hourly and nobody owns the total

Release waves being skipped or applied without testing because there is no capacity to do it properly

SKIP IT

The decision is made, the scope is documented, and you just need delivery — go straight to Implementation

The problem is a live system falling over. That is Managed Services, not planning.

You already have a recent assessment from someone competent. We can review it for less than we would charge to redo it.

How we work

How it runs

Short, and deliberately light on your team. Most of the load sits with us.

1

Current state  ·  Days 1–3

System review, customization and integration inventory, data sample, and a look at what is actually in use versus what was built.

2

Process and requirements ·  Week 1–2

Workshops with the people who do the work, not only with IT. Where a process is the real problem rather than the software, this is where that surfaces.

3

Plan and costing · Week 2–4

Platform recommendation, scope, costing, timeline, and risks — written up, walked through with you, and handed over.

What happens after

The plan is built to be used — including when the honest answer is to wait.

You implement with us

The plan becomes the scope. No rediscovery, no second design phase, and the implementation starts from something both sides already agreed.

02

Decisions made up front

Platform, scope, timeline, and risks are agreed before the project starts, so the implementation begins from a documented plan rather than an open question.

03

03-you-dont-implement-yet-ciano.png

You don't implement yet

Sometimes the honest finding is that the timing is wrong, the data is not ready, or the problem is a process. Knowing that early is the best possible outcome.

Inside the plan

What the document covers, specific enough to budget against.

Platform and scope

A platform recommendation across Business Central and Finance, with the reasoning and the alternatives considered. A costed scope, in real numbers rather than a range. A recommendation on sequencing, including whether to wait.

Timeline and effort

A phased implementation timeline, including what would make it slip. The internal time your team would need, quantified in hours per phase.

Systems, data and risk

A customization and integration inventory of what you run today, including legacy Dynamics AX environments. A data assessment for Power BI reporting — what migrates, what needs cleaning, what to archive. The risks we found, ranked, with what we would do about each.
