Dynamics AX 2009 and AX 2012 are Microsoft's previous-generation ERP platforms. AX 2009 has been out of extended support since 2014; AX 2012 lost extended support in October 2023. Neither receives security patches, and the pool of consultants who still know the platform keeps shrinking.
